There’s something truly magical about autumn rides—the crisp air, the vibrant colors, and that unmistakable crunch of gravel beneath your tires. Staying indoors during such a beautiful season? Not a chance! This time, we embarked on another epic gravel ride, taking us from Săcele to Azuga via the scenic Valea Gârciniului.
We began our journey in the old town, navigating through city streets to reach Săcele. The transition from smooth tarmac to gravel marked the true beginning of the adventure. The route was a steady climb to just under 1000 meters, with the peaceful sounds of nature and bursts of fall colors surrounding us every step of the way.
Reaching Azuga felt like a well-earned reward. We stopped for a quick coffee—a smooth flat white—and treated ourselves to a delicious slice of cake.
On the way back, we took the national road before making a left turn for a long, winding descent to Râșnov via Pârâul Rece. This section was all about the joy of speed and flowing turns, a perfect way to wrap up an unforgettable day of riding.
If you’re looking for a route that combines the best of gravel and road cycling with incredible autumn scenery, this one is worth exploring. Grab your bike and make the most of the season!
